First Holy Communion in Drumkeeran
On Sunday, 19th May, twelve children from Drumkeeran NS celebrated their
First Holy Communion.
The children who celebrated their First Holy Communion
with their teacher, Ms Clerkin
and parish priest, Fr Alwill
The twelve children are:
Amy Bohan, Thomas Davitt, Shyneece Gallagher, Thomas Gallagher,
Stephen
Goldbey, Charlie Jones, Kenneth Ryan Lonican, Kayla Maguire,
Phyllis McMorrow, Callum
McTeigue, Fiona O’Hara and Shona Wynne.
Fr Alwill told the children that Holy Communion is a treasure from God,
a special
gift from God to us,
and that we should always receive this special gift from God
every
time we come to Mass.
He also thanked the families of the children and their teachers
for everything they’ve
don to prepare the children
for this very special day in their lives.
