Report on Drumkeeran Church Roof
Mr Ian Pudney, the Conservation Architect with Rhatigan Architects,
has made his report on the condition of the roof of Sr Brigid’s Church, Drumkeeran.

Mr Pudney carried out a close inspection of the roof
on 3 November 2014.
While his report covers each face of the roof individually,
the overall finding is
that many parts of the roof are in quite poor condition.
Among the problems he has highlighted are:
- Damage caused by inappropriate repairs in the past.
- Many broken slates or slates with hair line cracks.
- Slipped slates suggesting nail corrosion.
- Missing ridge tiles and lead valleys that require attention.
