Three Fundraising Events

August Bank Holiday Weekend


Three fundraising events took place over the August Bank Holiday Weekend.


The John Williams Memorial Pool Tournament

took place in Davitt’s on Friday evening, 1st August.



The proceeds of the tournament are to be donated to Tarmon NS.


The Paddy McMorrow Campaign for Mayor

Hosted the next fundraising event.


The campaign came to a close with a special draw

for a First Prize of a heifer or €1,000.

The draw was held in Wynne’s, also on Friday night, 1st August.

The winner of the First Prize was Patsy Ferguson, Manorhamilton.




Paddy thanks all the members of his campaign team
and all who supported the various events organised by his team.


After the big draw, Desmond Wynne auctioned a load of firewood.


As with all the Mayoral Campaigns, all funds raised will go to Drumkeeran GAA Club.


The Seamus Gallagher Campaign for Mayor

held its final fundraising event in the Community Centre

on Saturday night, 2nd August.


The event consisted of a special draw for a First Prize of €3,000,
Second Price of €1,000 and ten prizes of €100.

The winner of the First Prize was Una Cullen, New York.



Fr Alwill draws the winning ticket, watched by Liam Bouchier and Seamus Gallagher.
