Marriage Registration Form
When the Registrar is satisfied that all civil requirements
have been completed
you will receive your
Marriage Registration Form
The Marriage Registration Form is a very
important document.
It is, in effect, the civil authorisation for the marriage to proceed.
1. You must bring the Marriage Registration
Form
to the wedding ceremony.
The priest cannot proceed with the wedding
without this form.
2. The Signing of the Registration Form
After the wedding ceremony the form is signed
by the bride and groom,
by the witnesses (bride's maid & best man)
and by the priest.
3. Returning the Registration Form
It is your responsibility to ensure that
Marriage Registration Form
is returned to the Registrar's Office
within one month of the date of the wedding.
The Registrar cannot issue a Marriage
Certificate
until the Form is returned.
