He was married to Mary Ann (53) who was born in Co Fermanagh.
Mary
Carney (34). Catherine Gilraine (33) was her shop assistant.
Louis
Feehily (34). Interestingly, his 2 year-old daughter Agnes Clare was born in
Scotland
.
Mary
Ford (47). Her children are recorded
as Kate (23), Mary A (17), Patrick (16), Francis (14), Eliza Jane (12) and Bee
Teresa (10).
John
McGreal (47). His wife was Mary Ann

Gallagher, a widow, (45), Stephen McGolrick (60) and Myles McKenna (65).
Clergy:
James Dolan (60) was recorded as “RC parish priest”.
Blacksmith:
The blacksmith was Patrick Flynn (21).
Postman:
Patrick Ford (16), son of shopkeeper Mary Ford, was described as a “rural
postman”.
Dressmaker:
Kate Ford (23), a daughter of shopkeeper Mary Ford, was a dressmaker.
So too was Anne Woods (62). Kate
Gallagher (26) recorded as a “visitor” staying with Honora Rogan, draper and
grocer, was also described as a dressmaker.

Common Carrier: Michael Devitt (33)
Lodging Housekeeper: Mary
Flynn (98) had a lodging house. She
had two lodgers on the night of the census, James Ward from Co Mayo and Francis
McNamarah from Co Carlow.
Mail Car Driver: Patrick
Kelly (40) who lived with his sister Ellen (36).
Umbrella Repairer: Francis
McNamarah, a lodger with Mary Flynn, was described as an “umbrella
repairer”.
