Parishioners attend Eucharistic Congress

Quite a number of people from Inishmagrath
attended the recent Eucharistic Congress in Dublin.

The first group travelled to the RDS on Tuesday,
the same day as people from all over Kilmore were attending it.
“Marriage and Family” was the theme for that day.

Unfortunately, the crowds attending the Congress were so large
that many people were unable to get in to the many talks and lectures
that were taking place throughout the day.
The same was true of Wednesday,
when the theme was “Priesthood and Vocation”.

However people were able to visit the Main Hall where there were over a hundred stalls
representing various orders, movements and businesses.

The main event of the week was the Statio Orbis,
the closing Mass of the Congress
which was celebrated in Croke Park

Among the large crowd that attended the closing Mass
were a group of between 10 and 20 people from Inishmagrath.
